Request for Pictures of Ulster County Veterans

December 10, 2012 by Editorial Staff Leave a Comment

Friends of Senate House are seeking pictures of Ulster County’s veterans and active duty military to use in their holiday decorations at the Loughran House located on the grounds of the Senate House Historic Site.

The front room of the Victorian Italianate-style home will be decorated in a military theme, and the volunteers will decorate the tree (the largest one in the house), with the pictures they receive. Volunteers will copy and mount the pictures as ornaments which will list the name of the service member, their military branch and dates of service.
Anyone who would like to have a picture of a living or deceased veteran or an active duty military member hung on the tree should send a JPEG image with the service member’s name, dates of service and military branch to info@senatehousekingston.org or mail a copy of the picture with the same information to: Friends of Senate House, P.O. Box 3503, Kingston NY 12402-3503. For more information contact 845-338-2786.

Important Holiday Information

The Loughran House will be open for Christmas open houses on 12/1, 12/8 and 12/15 from 11 AM – 3 PM.
